"Pain is weakness leaving the body." pre

This quote stands out to me! I went running this morning at it was killer. I am still so sore. Obviously that means that I had a lot of weakness, but then again I haven't been running in 2 months. I feel myself getting stronger each day. Nobody ever said that it was going to be easy. I am hanging in there though! So really when I am sore its just my weakness leaving and I am getting so much stronger. All I know is that running takes endurance, strength and stamina and it takes a true runner to develop these skills. Anybody can run, the fact of the matter is how well you understand it. When me and nate( my brother) went on the run I was dying but I still finished it we did 8 miles. We got there late though because nathan had to go get gas, so to our suprise when we got there of course they had already left on there run. So we just ran the course on our own we ended up finding them though which was good! I know that I have another blister though, I really need new shoes!!

Mutual with young womans

I just got back from mutual which was fun getting to meet the young womans! They all were very cheerful and very nice I felt welcomed when I came! Mutual was at the church, and the activity was that we had to make the missionaries dinner to show we appreciate them and we appreciate the work they put into being a missionary, and leaving there family's to teach people of the gospel who are ready for it. So the dinner was really funny because one of the elders was trying to teach us how to tie a tie which is actually not that easy its pretty complicated. I am for one glad I am not a guy. He also taught us the cup game its like a rythem type of game where you get a cup and its a bit hard to explain but it was awesome! all the girls were so nice and I am happy I got such a great ward and I have some friends now and a couple of the people in my ward go to oak ridge which I am happy about, so maybe I won't be eating lunch alone! Overall tonight was good! But i do still miss my vegas buddies:(

meeting the missionaries

well I wasn't really expecting them when they came over! So I heard a knock at the door and it was them! Nathan wouldn't anwser the door because he wasn't ready but I wasn't either I was still in my pajamas, no make up and my hair was a wreck! So I ran into my bedroom and got on my track sweatshirt ad anwsered the door! They came to introduce themselves to me. They are very nice and they were really suprised when I told them I had just gotten baptized 3 weeks ago. They were excited, and happy that I was coming into the ward. One of the missionaries is from Missouri the other is from Utah!

Meeting the bishop

So last night my bishop came to the house. It was a suprise to me! So anyway I talked to him for a bit and he was telling me where the church as and what my ward time was. I am in the El Dorado Hills ward and its starts at 1pm. He was also telling me about the members and how they are excited to meet me.  I was so happy when I heard him say that! They sure were right when they told me that the church is the best place to meet friends! The bishop also told me that there are only 2 juniors one which is his son the other a girl. He said there is a lot of young womans members though which I am so happy for church to come. I wish church was here already. He said my school is only like 5% lds kids:( but then again I will probably know all of them because they are in my ward! The church is by Folsom Lake which I will need to take pictures of! Maybe the move wasn't such a bad thing. :D

My new team!!

So i went running today with my new high school team! I go to Oak ridge high and the people on the cross country team are pretty nice! I met a few new people. We went up to Folsom lake to go run today! It was a trail run. Which we don't really have up in Vegas. So we started the warm up and it was a fast pace, but maybe I thought that cause I haven't been running in 2 months! WE did an 8 mile run but you are always welcome to do more the coach says! It was a fast pace run and cool down! I was dying the entire time. I got back and I literally felt like I was going to pass out. To my suprise I didn't. I have survived one day in Cali, but I have blisters! I think this is such a good oppurtunity though I am so happy that I have people to push me. The coach said our main goal this year is to WIN CIF.. which is california state meet for cross country! I believe that we can do it though those girls are so good and same with the boys team. Everything has gone well so far and I am hoping it gets better. I just hope I make some friends soon:) sitting at home isn't very fun!!
