Pioneer Day

So Pioneer Day was so awesome. I didn't even know that it was an actual day cause nobody had told me, until Jenny(one of my friends) told me the day of that there was this party going on at Serrano at a park. It was so fun. So much food, and games. The slip n slide was by far the best! Oh and the free ice cream was awesome! I loved seeing people in my ward there and getting to meet some people in my stake was very cool! It was a beautiful California day for this event. I can't wait until next year! Plus I will be more prepared next year!!

youth conference!

So I went to the youth conference for church! I went with my friend who lives in Kentucky and I had the best time. We got to see all the church sites which in itself was so awesome! Then we went to the Palmyra Temple which was absolutly gorgeous! I learned so much on that trip more than I ever thought I would have learned and then some. The bus ride from Lexington, KY to Palmyra, NY was 10 hours. It passed by rather quickly though in my opinion. The Hill Cumorah Pageant was the most wonderful play I have ever seen. The best part was seeing my friend from vegas and his family perform in it. I remember sitting next to moody and he would always tell me where our friend zac was in the show. The funny part though was he would always be saying "see the tall guy in the middle, thats zac." and would always point him out. No pressure on him at all. The play was so good I wish it could have been longer. Youth conference is only 2 days but we did so much in that time we were always on the run! Coming back from youth conference was pretty quite the 1st 2 hours cause everyone was sleeping. Then when everyone awoke we watched this really cool video the guy is a motivational speaker that aims toward the youth from our church! He was talking on our standards we have his name is John Bytheway and no thats not a joke! He was so inspirational but funny he knew exactly what to say. Everything he said it was almost like i could relate. I love having the standards we have where would you be without standards? Thats the question now isn't it. You would be doing bad things and temptation would tear you apart. The topic I liked was when he was talking on modesty because we as girls are not always modest. There is a saying we have "Modest is Hottest" and it is so true. Girls aren't trophies that you use then lose we are people and if you want to be treated like a person then you should dress modestly. You want guys to look at your eyes not anything else. All the attraction should be in your eyes and nowhere else! I think that is so important when guys look in your eyes then you know they are looking at you for your beauty that matters. Your body is a temple! Thats another popular saying we have! Its so true. Its sacred. Guys should feel comfortable around you instead of having there minds wander in unclean places when there around you! Thats not what you want girls. Anyways my point is that this guy is a very good speaker and if you get the chance you should check him out! Well I am off. Catch you later!
